New Computer Purchases

New Computer Purchases

The DGH Policy for new computer purchases can be found on the DGH Intranet.
If you would like to purchase a new computer, please send an email to dghit@uw.edu and specify:
  1. Whether the item is for a new employee or is a replacement for an existing device.
  2. Budget worktags that should be used to make the purchase.
  3. If the DGH standard laptop does not meet your needs, details about any special needs that can inform purchasing decisions (e.g. tasks or environments that are non-standard).

Timeline for Purchases

For DGH standard laptops, we typically can deploy those within 2-3 days. Purchases with specialized needs will require more time and may take several weeks, depending on the specific items needed. Delays are often based on availability from our preferred vendors and are not negotiable.
