Adding Ricoh printers (Windows)
Automatic Installation

Note: In order to add printers or to print to the devices at HRC or NJB, you must either be on a campus network connection or be connected to the UW VPN,
Husky OnNet.
For Windows, there are installation applications that can add the follow these steps to add one of the shared Ricoh printers to your Windows computer:
- HRC 759
- HRC 841
To use these:
- Download the relevant file from the links above.
- Once you have downloaded the file, double-click to begin the installation.
Manual Installation
In order to print successfully when manually installing the shared DGH printers, 3 separate steps are needed:
Install printer drivers
Add printer
Configure print settings
Install Print Drivers
- Download the latest driver from the Ricoh web site. Select your operating system and then choose the "PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print" driver.
- Once you have
downloaded the file, double-click to begin the installation and follow the steps of the installer.
Add the Printer
- Click on the Start Menu and type Printers, then select Printers and Scanners
- Click on Add a printer or scanner
- Click The printer that I want isn't listed
- In the Add printer dialog, choose Add a printer using an IP address or hostname and click Next
- Enter the IP address of the printer you want to add (see table below), then click Next

- Click Finish
- Click on the Start Menu and type Printers, then select Printers and Scanners
- Click the printer you want to change, and then click Manage
Click on Printing Preferences
- Under Job Type, click Modify
- Choose Hold Print as the job type
- Under User ID, choose Windows Login Name
- Click OK
- Click User Code Setting
- Enter the 4-digit print code. (If you don't know your printing code, please consult your budget manager).
- Click OK
These settings will now be your defaults for all new print jobs.
