Map I: Drive on a PC

Automatic Mapping

Computers that are configured by DGH IT are pre-configured to connect to the networked I: drive where many shared departmental files and folders are stored.

From home

  1. Launch F5 from your computer or BigIP Edge client and log on to the VPN. 
  2. Once you logged on successfully, please click on the icon on your desktop that says:  Map H: and I: and logon again with your NetID
  3. Please navigate to the I:\ using File Explorer with the folder path:   I:\groups\gh\XXXX where XXX is the folder that you have rights to access it

On campus

  1. Click on the icon on your desktop that says:  Map H: and I: and logon with your NetID
  2. Please navigate to the I:> from using file explorer and you can access the I:\groups\gh\XXXX where XXX is the folder that you have rights to access it

Manual Mapping

If the above methods do not work, you can use a manual method to re-connect to the drive.
  1. Click on my Computer
  2. Go to computer, then map network drive.  In the drive type I:
  3. In the folder type:  \\netid.washington.edu\mws
