Authenticate UW NetID
The first time you login with your new DGH provided Windows Laptop you will need to authenticate against the UW's domain servers. To do this use the UW's "Temp InTune VPN".
From the Windows login screen.
Select the "Network Sign In" Option (the lock and key icon).
Select "Temp InTune VPN"
Enter your email address in the Username field.
Enter you NetID password in the Password field.
Establish UW email as Microsoft account.
When Windows has fully started, run the "Edge" browser application.
Click on the person icon in the upper left hand corner of the window.
Click "Sign in to sync data" button and sign in with your UW email address
Click on the "Turn on sync" button.
Close the Edge browser.
Reboot the machine and login with your normal internet settings.
Licensing your software:
When you first receive your machine, please log into the following applications to establish the correct UW licensing: OneDrive, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
For each of these Windows should automatically fill in your NetID account, but if not enter your UW email address: your_netid@uw.edu
Also, run Adobe Acrobat Pro if you have previously purchased a subscription from UW-IT.
After licensing the software reboot the machine one more time to begin normal use.
